Hello! A lot has happened since my last journal. I have graduated from California State University of Long Beach in the BFA Animation & Illustration program in May, I attended the VanArts Story and Character Masterclass and Workshop with Pixar in mid-July, not too long after I took a short Digital Painting course, I'm going to work on Tutorials and Workshops I have purchased, and I am currently updating my portfolio to turn in to Disney, Nickelodeon, and any studio I wish to work for. It's all been going by so fast and it still feels strange to say that I am no longer a student. And now I have to find work and soon.
I've noticed the Premium Member price has increased and I really want to save my money on what I really want to do, like a convention or two I want to attend in the Fall, or any workshops or classes that will benefit me as an artist. I especially want to go to CTN Animation Expo for another shot with the studios there. I also need to let go of some things in my life if I am to save enough money for what I need and for fun things too. That is why for the first time in years, I am no longer renewing my Premium Membership. I am also not going to be on DeviantArt for a while. For how long, I do not know but I know that if I am completely honest with myself, I really don't post art here as often as I used to. And with the new Copyright Law, I'm also very cautious about posting original work on DeviantArt. That is one reason why I am deleting a majority of my work from DeviantArt. I'm having it all saved for myself and I will not post original content unless I have it copyrighted to my name by law. I will keep a few works here of course, so that there is still a gallery to look at.
It's been a fun ride at DeviantArt but now it's time to get myself ready for the world. And I'm going to need to dedicate as much time as possible to my dreams if I hope to make them realities. I'm not deleting my profile, as I want to come back someday but for now I say farewell. And to fellow artists, DA friends, loyal supporters, and Deviant Art itself, thank you for the memories.
If you wish to keep up with what I am doing, I will be on these sites. I will especially be active on my Facebook Art page, on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Voice Acting sample
For the past six weeks, I have been attending the Vocal Toon-Up workshop by Catherine Cavadini, voice of Blossom from Powerpuff Girls, and voice actor Nick Omana. It has not only been a lot of fun but it has also been a very rich learning experience, with an idea of what the voice acting industry is like. Our objective, create 10-12 characters and sustaining character voices. There was so much we learned along the way, including tips of what to do and what not to do when auditioning, and how to change your pitch and voice to a distinct character. It was most definitely worth signing up for. While my primary goal is animation, I am most d
My DeviantArt Story
Seven years. I've been a member of Deviant Art for Seven Years. And boy has it been quite a journey for me. My friend ~BlackHat0061 (https://www.deviantart.com/blackhat0061) introduced me to this site and I both blame and thank him for that. :)
For the first few years, I was blown away by how much amazing art there was here. And while I was not a popular artist, I did appreciate every comment, favorite, and watch I received. It all encouraged me to keep drawing and to keep working on my original ideas and characters. Eventually I even participated in group and community events and contests. I met some cool artists on this site, even befriended them and followed and supp
Animation, cartoons, and voice-acting
Once again I've been away for a while but once again with good reason. I had a very productive spring semester with life drawing, storyboarding, and animation classes. I believe this was one of my best and most challenging semesters.
In Drawing Figures in Context, my life drawing skills were put to the test. The fastest we were to draw a figure was 30 seconds or a minute. The most was 2 minutes, some 5 minutes, and in a few cases 10 minutes. We were also challenged to draw with our opposite hand at one point and I discovered that I am ambidextrous! I could draw my left hand and it turns out I'm better at getting structures and figures
CTN Animation Expo
So…CTN Animation Expo was a really great experience! I met fellow students, met some graduates, met people from different states and even different countries! It was so cool to see the work of professionals from the industry and artists putting themselves out there in the booths. It was also great to see people reacting to what I had to show. They all seemed to like what they saw and were quite encouraging. I went to workshops and panels that had very helpful information when it came to creating characters, creatures, and portfolios. And other workshops were just fun to go to, like Eric Goldberg's adventures in advertising! And my port
