Mary and Max by RCWikkydArtist Mary and Max by RCWikkydArtist
I wanted to practice with my copics again, this time for my fan art of Mary and Max. It is a clay-animated movie about two unlikely pen pals, 8 year-old Mary Daisy Dinkle from Australia and 44 year-old Max Jerry Horowitz. The story follows their friendship and letters through 20 years to the point where the fate of their friendship as well as their lives hang by a thread. It is an amazing movie, watch it if you haven't seen it yet and own it if you can for it will be worth it. Though it is clay-animated as I mentioned before, I wanted to draw Mary and Max in a somewhat more realistic version using their voice actors for reference: Philip Seymour Hoffman and Bethany Whitmore. It was a little tricky since Max was bald and Bethany kept her hair up. Toni Collette does the voice for Mary when she's grown up. Maybe I'll do a picture including her as well.

No, I don't think so. I wasn't able to find a Mary and Max group, either.

But yeah. It's a great movie, isn't it? XD
